Todd McCracken, DDS

As a child, Dr. Todd McCracken was traumatized by a painful pediatric dentistry experience. Years later, while examining his options for employment after college, he decided to combine his traumatic experience, empathetic nature, and passion for art and medicine and decided to become a board-certified Laser Dentistry Physician. In 1997, Dr. McCracken opened his first private practice and immediately began implementing the gentle, non-invasive, state-of-the-art, technology-focused dentistry services that he had always dreamed about. Dr. McCracken’s focus is on gentle restorative, whole body wellness. Your oral health is a reflection of your over all well-being.

Education & Training

Dr. McCracken received his doctorate in dental surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Determined to extend his training, he studied and later received the prestigious accomplishment of Master from the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Over the last 23 plus years, Dr. Todd McCracken has performed more than 2000 laser assisted dental procedures earning him the esteemed title of Certified Trainer for Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedures, or LANAP®. Dr. Todd McCracken is ever-focused on keeping up-to-speed with modern laser and traditional dentistry advances and prides himself on remaining among the most technologically advanced physicians in all of Denton and the surrounding counties.

Accolades & Accomplishments

As a dedicated, board-certified Doctor of Dental Surgery, Dr. Todd McCracken has been invited to and participated in a number of prestigious events. After becoming a member of the Academy of General Dentistry he was asked to present and lecture on their behalf at the Academy of General Dentistry’s National Meeting as well as the Hispanic Dental Association’s National Meeting.

As a skilled, board-certified Laser Dentistry physician, Dr. Todd McCracken has lectured and taught his gentle, minimally-invasive laser dentistry techniques to dental students at Millennium Dental Technologies, The Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry, Baylor Dental School, as well as the University of Texas’s Health and Science Center.

Dr. Todd McCracken is currently involved by lecturing or teaching in a number of esteemed dental schools. Furthermore, he has been recognized for his extensive knowledge of laser dentistry techniques by dental associations all over the country. Dr. McCracken hopes to continue spreading his knowledge and passion for innovative laser dentistry techniques to colleagues and future dentists near and far. His hope is that in the future, neither children nor adults will be scarred by the memory of a painful dentistry procedure, or ridden with fear at the concept of future oral health treatments.
